Sometimes you can’t laugh. Grief appears. Or sadness. Strangely, the right sadness, at the right time, in the right place, is not depressing. It is not fun, or enjoyable, or uplifting. But it can be moving.

We human beings are an unusual lot, and generally contradictory. If someone claims they are not emotional, you can bet they repress it. If one claims not to be a social game player, then watch who they gravitate near at a celebrity gathering.

So while we have ‘humour’ and ‘serious’ pages here, it was, in some ways an arbitrary division. Some pages could appear under either label.
